Review highlights
Based on 778 reviewsLa Table de la Kasbah consistently receives praise for its charming rooftop terrace, offering a serene and scenic dining atmosphere in the heart of Marrakesh’s Medina. Reviewers frequently highlight the attentive and warm service, noting staff professionalism and genuine hospitality. The menu is celebrated for its authentic Moroccan dishes, with particular appreciation for flavorful pastillas, tagines, and creative starters. Complementary touches like freshly baked bread and house-made tapenades enhance the overall experience. Guests also commend the good value and fair pricing, despite the restaurant's somewhat hidden location and limited payment options. Overall, it is regarded as a delightful culinary gem that combines traditional flavors with a relaxed, inviting setting.
My wife and I choose to have dinner here based on the number of positive reviews. We found all the positive remarks to be justified. We got there about sunset and were the first diners there so we had an opportunity to pick the best table for 2 on the Terrace which was nicely decorated. We were warmly welcomed by the waiter who did an excellent job making sure we received our food as soon as it was ready and making sure we had enough of everything. We ordered the couscous with 3 kinds of meat, salad, and dessert. We were happy with both the taste, quantity, and price. By the time we left, the restaurant was much busier. Finding the entrance took a little effort since you have to go down a very short alley and up some stairs from a main street. But the effort is definitely worth it. Just look for the menu from the main street which is prominently hanging on the wall. Also, note that this is a cash only restaurant.
Lovely terrace with a relaxed atmosphere. Great table service and excellent food.Had Olive tapenade, briouates, shrimp with avocado and the chicken burger with goats cheese. All perfect along with the virgin mojitos.Would highly recommend.
Very nice rooftop in a calm and quiet area of the Medina. We had our first pastilla here and it was very tasteful. The service was excellent. I would definitely come back
Amazing spot ! Would go again.I had a great dinner, very friendly staff. You are welcomed with complimentary bread and olive tapenades.Had a good fish tajine, all with a beautiful sunset and view.Excellent value for money.Price is very fait.
Superb. Great local food - the best we have had in our five nights. Abdul is becoming legendary for his softly spoken calm and gentlemanly service. Wonderful old world charm about the place. We had the samosa-style starter (shared) followed by vegetable pastilla and a fantastic chicken tagine. No booze and no cards and it's a little tricky to find but a real gem - even when the roof terrace is closed when rain stops play.
Mohammed is the shining star of La Table de la Kasbah - the service he offers is fantastic; he is warm and attentive, making sure that you have everything that you could possibly need without being overbearing in the slightest; whilst the food is absolutely delicious, he is the reason that we returned for a second time on the last night of our 3 day stay in Marrakech as we felt relaxed and at home here thanks to Mohammed.A true pleasure - highly recommended. Gorgeous setting, beautiful views, relaxed atmosphere and food to die for. We loved the beef and chicken tagine. Our time here won’t be forgotten and we very much hope to return one day in the future!
Excellent experience. We had the mix of Moroccan salads, the vegetable tagine and the vegetable castilla and all were fantastic. The server was extremely professional and the atmosphere on the rooftops was gorgeous. The best meal we have had so far in Marrakech - thank you!
We were 4 days in Morocco, and we went to this place twice. The food is perfect, the service is excellent, the restaurant is nice and the gentleman who works there is very polite. We order chicken tagine, it was very nice seasoned. The couscous was also good, and it was served with sauce. The pastille was also good. For dessert, we've tried the chocolate mousse. It's different and it's worth it.We also asked for samosas. We paid 20 euros per person. Drinks included.
